you can add these dye packs to an alcoholic fuel and you end up with red or green flames. how awsome?

    Ahh newbies...

    I'd be careful about that. Some of the various colorants are illegal to obtain in the US but not in Aus. Since they don't go into detail about the contents, You could be ordering Strontium for the red packets and maybe getting on a list. I'd rather just get the chemicals known to color alcohol flames rather than depend on a mystery product.

    Another thing they don't tell you is that the Best fuel for working with this stuff is methanol. And that's one fuel that has more hazards for use than any other. Formic acid build-up in your blood stream is the biggest one, drunkenness from inhalation would be another. And then, of course, there's the problems with the chemical additives. Boric Acid produces the best green, but it eats your wicks if you mix it wrong (your wicks, your chains, your grips, and your bed if you you have any on you)
