Does anyone know what type of plastic is most resistant to degradation through direct fuel contact. ultra pure oil. Or alternately, suggestions about long term fire breathing bottles.

Re: plastic fuel degradation
Sun, November 16, 2008 - 10:26 AMUltra-pure lamp oil is sold in #5 plastic containers, and I've never seen one of those go bad. But if you're looking for a fire-breathing fuel bottle, a small MSR bottle is probably the route to go, as the bottle needs to stand up to not just fuel but rough handling, etc. -

Sun, November 16, 2008 - 10:54 AMYup, that's why I like mine so much. HDPE, thick walled, high heat. and a delivery spout that prevents spills
